TCM Practitioners Search
The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioners Act was
passed on 14 Nov 2000. The Act requires TCM Practitioners who
practise the prescribed practice of TCM to be registered and
issued with a licence to practise. A TCM Practitioners Board was
established as the licencing body for the registration of TCM
Practitioners, accreditation of TCM schools and courses for TCM,
and regulating the professional conduct and ethics of registered
TCM practitioners

Elderly Care Programmes
Established in 1906, the Singapore Health care services for the
elderly is mostly run by the voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs).
Government financial assistance is provided to these VWOs. There
are 4 acute hospitals with geriatric units/ departments, 5
community hospitals, 4 chronic sick hospitals, 53 nursing homes,
27 day rehabilitation centres and 10 VWOs with home medical and
13 VWOs with home nursing services providing for the health care
needs of the elderly in Singapore
